Transforming the Asian agriculture with IoT&AI&Blockchain

AgriChain: Powering Transparent, Sustainable, and Efficient Agriculture

Our Plan

We use IoT and AI to help farmers select the best crops for their land, optimizing resource use. By integrating blockchain, smart contracts, and IoT, we improve supply chain transparency, ensure traceability, and eliminate middlemen. Additionally, we record carbon emission data on the blockchain, supporting sustainable farming practices.

Real-time Monitoring

Deploy IoT sensor networks (Environment Monitoring System using IoT) for real-time soil moisture, pH, and microclimate tracking.

Crop Recommendation

We use AI and IoT to deliver smart crop recommendations based on real-time soil, weather, and environmental data. This helps farmers choose the most suitable and high-value crops for their specific land conditions, moving beyond traditional planting habits.

Transparency and Traceability

Blockchain provides a decentralized and tamper-proof way to record transactions and critical data across the agricultural supply chain.

Smart Contract

Smart contracts in agricultural supply chains automate the verification and recording of carbon footprint data. When pre-defined conditions are met , the contract triggers actions.

Carbon footprint tracking

Using blockchain technology for carbon footprint tracking in agricultural supply chains enables transparent, traceable, and tamper-proof data management. Combined with IoT devices for automatic carbin emission data collection.

About Our Team

We are 3 Bananas🍌 — a dynamic team of two female students from China and one male student from Malaysia. With a shared passion for improving agriculture across Asia, we combine our diverse backgrounds and expertise to tackle real-world challenges in the agricultural supply chain. Through innovation, technology, and collaboration, we are committed to building a more transparent, efficient, and sustainable agricultural future.

Real Impact: How It Works in the Field

How Technology Protects Every Crab: A Real-World Example

Every premium crab deserves to be recognized for what it truly is.
For products like Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs , authenticity and origin are everything—but counterfeits flood the market every year.

That’s where our technology steps in.
Each crab is equipped with an RFID tag , acting as a unique ID that cannot be copied or removed.
IoT sensors track water quality, feeding conditions, and harvest time throughout the farming cycle.

All this verified data is then recorded on the blockchain , creating a tamper-proof digital profile for every batch.

When the consumer scans the crab’s tag, they don’t just see a product—they see its full story:
where it was raised, when it was harvested, how it was handled, and who certified it.

This is how we transform a crab from a commodity into a trusted brand.

Bario Rice: Bridging Tradition with Technology

Grown in the pristine highlands of Sarawak by the Kelabit community, Bario Rice is celebrated for its unique taste and cultural significance. To preserve its authenticity and enhance market trust, we’re integrating RFID tagging, IoT monitoring, and blockchain traceability. This fusion ensures each grain’s journey—from field to table—is transparent, verifiable, and honors its rich heritage.

Client Testimonials

This system helps me record the planting process more clearly and I don't have to worry about the data being tampered with. The combination of blockchain and the Internet of Things has also enhanced our trust with the purchasers, giving us more confidence in bargaining.
Farmer-Janzenleong
I can scan the code to see the entire process of agricultural products from the field to the dining table, which makes me feel more at ease. The carbon footprint information also makes me willing to spend a little more money on green products.
Customer-Jingyu Zhao
Using blockchain to record carbon emission data and monitor agricultural behaviors can help promote low-carbon transformation. It is hoped that more farms will join in to achieve a truly sustainable agricultural supply chain.
